The voice of beatsmith Bradd Peacock takes many forms: the South African artist takes on every instrument he touches. You’ll notice his own insistent, elusive tenor first on his new single, “PRTTY GRL.” But the production is all Peacock, who mastered drums from an early age at his Cape Town church and fast built a reputation as a self-taught singer, songwriter, and producer. Peacock sang lead vocals in the band Abnormal, scoring three hits in 2020: “WET GIRL,” “SISI,” and local favorite, “WITH YOU,” featuring notable South African artist, Judah. This year, Peacock’s first solo venture “PRTTY GRL” made the rotations of two top South African radio stations. Rhyme and Reason is now thrilled to introduce Peacock’s wide-ranging talent to a global audience.
