The identification of these animals is tentative and needs confirmation. The photos below by Jay Lord resemble figures of Pseudochromis coccinicauda in Michael (2004) except the tail is orange to yellow rather than red. This animal was seen in the shallow spur and groove area on the shallow eastern (windward) reef of Kwajalein Atoll.
