The Moray Eel
|
Anguilliformes are any fish that are eels. The name "eel" may sometimes be used for fish that don't belong in the anguilliforme order, such as the electric eel. Eels are elongated fish, ranging from 5cm to 4m long. They have one long fin along most of their body. Most eels live in shallow waters and are nocturnal.
Most moray eels, as shown to the left live in deep tropical waters. Moray eels are very shy and are more likely to flee than fight. |
