If you can't boot from cd: Boot floppy images are included on Disc 1
If you want to use YaST 2: Boot from Disc 1
If you want to use YaST 1: Boot from Disc 2
You can also use the DVD for installing SuSE using YaST 2.
If you want to reconfigure x11 after installing SuSE, you don't have to run xf86config, you can use the (much better) SaX 2 (Suse advanced X configuration tool).
