Golden Damselfish

Amblyglyphidodon aureus

Usually uniformly yellow. Large fish often have extended blueish parts.

Size : 14 cm

Habitat : Prefers steep outer reef slopes, 3-35 m. Feeds on zooplankton. Juveniles often at large sea whips or bushes of black coral. The eggs are often laid near sea whips.

Distribution : Andaman Sea, Cocos Keeling and NW Australia to SW Japan, Marshall Island and Fiji.
