Speckled Damsel

Pomacentrus bankanensis

Coloration is variable. Usually brow and back are red with blue stripes, eyespot at back of the dorsal fin. Whitish tail.

Size : 10 cm

Habaitat : In lagoons and protected outer reefs, 1-12 m. Usually above coral-rubble mixed zones. Feeds on algae, also on zooplankton.

Distribution : Andaman Sea and Christmas Islands to SW Japan, Palau, Yap and Fiji.
