Fimbriated Moray

Gymnothorax fimbriatus

Greenish-yellow head, body pale olive colour; speckled with irregular black blotches.

Size : 80 cm

Habitat : Inhabits lagoons and outreefs, 1-50 m. Can be observed rather rarely, probably a nocturnal species. Hunts fish and crustaceans.

Distribution : Mauritius and Seychelles to SW Japan, GBR and Society Islands.
