Small dots and lines on the head.

Size : 5 cm

Habitat : On rubble ground of fringe reefs and outer reef slopes, 5-20 m. In the mating ritual, the male swims back and forth extremely fast and jerkily over a small area, while rapidly changing its colouration the dorsal fin switches from red to white, the front body especially on the upper side, from red to light blue-green.

Distribution : Borneo to Raja Ampat.
