Iniistius pentadactylus

TP: With 4-5 individual, often also overlapping, red patches towards the back of the eye.
IP: A whitish spot above the belly with red lines (red scale edges)

Size : 25 cm

Habitat : At coasts with sand and mud slopes, 1-30 m. Swims alone or in loose groups, always near to the bottom. When disturbed, dives rapidly into the soft ground, also sleeps at night in the sand.

Distribution : Red Sea and East Africa to SW Japan, Guam, Solomons and GBR.
