This 1976 BMW R75/6 is a triple numbers-matching example that is finished in Bol d’Or red over a black frame and powered by an air-cooled 745cc opposed twin paired with a five-speed transmission. Equipment includes a driveshaft, a front disc brake, an electric starter, a Stabilus steering damper, alloy rims, a two-up seat, and a chrome dual exhaust system. The seller acquired the bike in July 2020, reportedly from its second owner. This R75/6 is now offered at no reserve with two keys, a BMW tool roll and air pump, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.

No Reserve: 1976 BMW R75/6

The 4.8-gallon fuel tank, fenders, and side panels are finished in Bol d’Or Red with white pinstripes. Rubber knee pads and peeling BMW roundels are located on each side of the tank. Additional features include a steel double-loop frame, both side and center stands, a 7″ round headlight, adjustable passenger foot pegs, a helmet holder hook, and a locking hinged two-up seat with a chrome passenger grab bar. Replacement front turn signals were fitted under current ownership. The seller notes paint blemishes on the fenders and fuel tank, and the seat trim is cracked on the left side.

No Reserve: 1976 BMW R75/6

Wire-spoke wheels laced with 19″ front and 18″ rear alloy rims are said to have been mounted with Metzeler Lasertec tires in 2018. Suspension components include a leading-axle telescopic fork as well as preload-adjustable shocks mounted to the swingarm on the left and the final drive housing on the right. Braking is supplied by a 260mm cross-drilled disc and black caliper up front along with a 200mm drum at the rear which features holes in the hub for brake shoe inspection and venting of brake dust. A brake service is said to have been performed in 2020 under previous ownership. Cracks are visible in the rubber fork gaiters.

No Reserve: 1976 BMW R75/6

The chrome handlebar was fitted with new foam grips and is mounted behind MotoMeter instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer, an 8,500-rpm tachometer with an inset high beam indicator, and a column of indicator lights. A Stabilus steering damper is adjusted with a knob atop the steering stem. The five-digit odometer indicates 26k miles, 100 of which were added by the seller.

No Reserve: 1976 BMW R75/6

The air-cooled OHV 745cc opposed twin was factory rated at 50 horsepower and 44 lb-ft of torque. The engine breathes through dual 32mm Bing constant-velocity V64 carburetors and a chrome dual exhaust system that shows corrosion and dents near the muffler tips. Fluid changes are said to have been performed in 2020 under previous ownership.

No Reserve: 1976 BMW R75/6

Power is sent to the rear wheel through a five-speed transmission and a driveshaft enclosed within the right leg of the swingarm.

No Reserve: 1976 BMW R75/6

The steering headstock plate is stamped with serial number of 4945422 which matches the numbers stamped on the frame and engine case, photos of which can be viewed in the gallery below.

No Reserve: 1976 BMW R75/6

A tool kit and a BMW shop rag are included in the sale.
