This Honda Motorcycles got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1990 Honda CBR1000F is powered by a 998cc inline-four paired with a six-speed transmission and is finished in white and red with blue and silver accents. Equipment includes a fully enclosed fairing, a two-up seat, 17″ Enkei alloy wheels, triple disc brakes, an air-assisted fork, a Pro-Link swingarm, aluminum clip-on handlebars, a four-into-two exhaust system, and both center and side stands. The bike was acquired by the selling dealer in 2018, and service in November 2022 included cleaning and adjusting the carburetors, overhauling the front brake calipers, flushing the fluids, changing the oil, and replacing the battery, fork seals, radiator cap, upper coolant hose, brake pads, and right-front brake disc. This CBR1000F is now offered at no reserve by the selling dealer in Georgia with a clean Minnesota title.
The bodywork is finished in white and red with blue and silver accents and is mounted over a steel twin-spar steel frame. Features include a 5.8-gallon fuel tank, a two-tone two-up seat, a passenger grab rail, folding passenger foot pegs, both center and side stands, and a full fairing with dual mirrors and integrated turn signals. Chips and scratches are present on the mirrors and lower fairing along with weathering and vinyl cracks on the two-up seat.
White three-spoke Enkei wheels measure 17″ and wear 120/70 front and 170/60 rear Bridgestone tires showing 2011 date codes. Suspension consists of an air-adjustable 41mm telescopic fork with replacement fork seals and fluid as well as a Pro-Link swingarm mounted to a monoshock featuring preload and rebound adjustability. Braking power is provided by a trio of two-piston Nissin sliding calipers over dual front and single rear discs. Work in November 2022 included overhauling the front calipers, flushing the brake fluid, replacing the right-front disc, and replacing the brake pads.
Clip-on handlebars are mounted above the upper aluminum triple clamp and front an instrument cluster containing a 185-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 10,500-rpm redline, a fuel gauge, a coolant temperature gauge, and a row of labeled indicator lights. The five-digit odometer shows 22k miles, a handful of which have been ridden by the selling dealer.
The liquid-cooled 998cc inline-four is concealed under the side fairings and was factory rated at 132 horsepower at 9,500-rpm. Features include dual overhead camshafts, four valves per cylinder, four 38mm Keihin CV carburetors, and a four-into-two exhaust system. Service in November 2022 included cleaning and adjusting the carburetors, flushing the fuel tank, and replacing the battery, radiator cap, and upper coolant hose.
Power is transferred to the rear wheel through a hydraulically operated multi-disc wet clutch, a six-speed transmission, and a drive chain. The clutch fluid was flushed in November 2022.
