Lot #69945

This 1991 Saab 900 SPG is finished in black over gray leather and is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transaxle. The SPG package included a Mitsubishi-sourced TE-05 turbocharger, sport suspension, tri-spoke 15″ wheels, and aerodynamic bodywork. Additional equipment includes air conditioning, a power sunroof, power windows and mirrors, rear window louvers, and a custom stereo system. The car was acquired by the selling dealer in 2016, and service in preparation for the sale included changing the fluids and replacing the tires. This 900 SPG is now offered with removed factory stereo equipment, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean Oregon title.

1991 was the final year of production for the SPG model, and this example is said to be one of 105 finished in black with gray lower cladding. Equipment includes fog lights with guards, side vent covers, headlight wipers, a whale tail spoiler, and rear window louvers. Stone chips are noted on the front fascia, and the selling dealer states the hood and passenger door were refinished under previous ownership.

Factory 15″ tri-spoke alloy wheels were mounted with 205/55 Yokohama Advan A052 tires in preparation for the sale. SPG models were equipped with a sport suspension that utilized sway bars along with stiffer springs and shocks. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with cross-drilled rotors.

Amenities include air conditioning, a locking glovebox, an onboard computer, cruise control, power windows and mirrors, floor mats, an aftermarket Panasonic head unit, and a DUB subwoofer. The four-spoke airbag steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, an analog clock, and gauges for boost pressure, fuel level, and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 67k miles, and the true mileage is unknown.

The turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four was rated at 175 horsepower when new and drives the front wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. The valve cover has been refinished in red, and a fluid service was performed in preparation for the sale.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage and lists history in New Jersey, Colorado, Arizona, and Oregon from its initial entry in April 1994. A mileage inconsistency is also noted in April 1994.
