Espostoa lanata is a slow growing tree shaped cactus branching at the top with age, up to 7 m tall.

it is a densely hairy species, covered by a wooly coat and well adapted to high altitudes.

It is wide spread in habitat and quite variable in size and spines.

The flowers are almost totally covered by the thick wooly hair, and are followed by bright pink fruits that will drop onto the ground when fully ripe. Easy variety to grow from fresh seeds.


Plant will be of similar size to the ones pictured above, in the pots 70mm across.
