Onespot snapper

Widely distributed in subtropical and tropical zones of the Indo-Pacific including Australia, the east coast of Africa, and the Ryukyu Islands. Its body is thin and long and reaches 50 to 60cm in length. Its body is yellow or pink, with gray-black upper parts, and yellow fins.  There is usually a black spot on each side of the body, although this may gradually disappear. They usually swim alone or form a small school. They inhabit large caves or depressions on coral reefs.
