Slingjaw wrasse

Distributed in shallow coral reef areas across the Indo-Pacific. In Japan, from Amami Oshima southwards. Their body color varies depending on geographical location, and an individual fish may change color depending on its environment. Their jaw extends forward during feeding as much as half the length of its body.
