CJNV and Vashti Media are hosting a virtual storytelling event on Sunday, April 7 that will feature members of CJNV’s current Hineinu cohort — a group of six US Jewish activists who have been engaging in solidarity work alongside Palestinians in Masafer Yatta since February.
They will be sharing from their own experiences witnessing settler-state violence and the ongoing Nakba. They will also share stories they have been collecting from the region of powerful local Palestinian-led civil resistance. We hope that one of our Palestinian partners will be also able to join us to speak, Ramadan depending.

As 2023 comes to a close, we want to spend it together in community with you at our end-of-year event.
Journalist and writer Joshua Leifer will be joined in conversation with Palestinian human rights activist Awdah Hathaleen, Hineinu alumni and Jewish community organizer Louisa Kornblatt, and CJNV’s on-the-ground organizer, Dina Chizhik.
The panelists will reflect on this last year, particularly the situation on the ground since October 7th, and grapple with the question of where we go from here as a movement.
Screening of Boycott

Join the CJNV community for a screening of Just Vision’s new film, Boycott. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Suhad Babaa, producer of the film and Executive Director of Just Vision.
Boycott follows a news publisher, an attorney and a speech therapist, who, when forced to choose between their jobs and their political beliefs, launch legal battles that expose an attack on freedom of speech across the US. The film traces the impact of legislation and executive orders passed in 34 states designed to penalize individuals and companies that choose to boycott Israel due to its human rights record.
The film’s story is an increasingly urgent one. The Supreme Court just announced it won’t hear the appeal case of Alan Leveritt, a newspaper publisher seeking to reaffirm the right to boycott in the US. Meanwhile, copycat anti-boycott bills targeting those working on environmental sustainability, gun safety, abortion rights, transgender people’s rights and workplace equity continue to take root in states across the country.
As Boycott continues to make its way across the country, we are thrilled to be sharing this important and timely story with the CJNV community. Please join us!
From the Personal to the Political: Mizrahi & JSWANA Families’ Migration Stories & Global Struggles for Justice

We invite you to join us in a 6-part Zoom workshop where we will explore how we move from the personal to the political within your Mizrahi and/or JSWANA identity. Come explore with us how our families’ migration stories are connected to global struggles for freedom and justice.
This workshop is open to people who self-identify as Mizrahi or whose families are Jewish and originate from S.W.A.N.A (South West Asia North Africa), also commonly referred to as MENA, Middle East North Africa. This workshop series is organized by a small group of Jews from across the US and Israel/Palestine interested in strengthening ties and solidarity among Mizrahim and Jews whose families originated from S.W.A.N.A and progressive movements, most especially the Palestinian freedom movement. We aim to deepen our understanding of the progressive values that are fundamentally intertwined with Mizrahi heritage/culture, and move into action. We will ground ourselves in our own family histories to better understand our way forward, combining cultural learning, community building, and changemaking.
