Transcranial pulse stimulation in the media: TPS has already been reported on many times. Now the first pharmacy magazine in Germany has taken up the topic of "shock waves for Alzheimer's dementia". In the September issue of the pharmacy association magazine "Mein Tag" (My Day), its print edition reports on TPS and also allows doctors to have their say who work with the TPS brain stimulation method. In general, there is a change: brain stimulation methods for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, until now mainly central topics at scientific congresses, are increasingly discussed in the media. This is helping to inform those affected about this new generation of therapeutic options, which can do much to support those living with diseases such as Alzheimer's in addition to medication. Click here for the report with a link to the pharmacies where "My Day" is now available (only in German language): https://lnkd.in/etP3JTSw #shockwavesforzheimersdementia #transcranialpulsestimulation #tps #tpsinthemedia #tpsinapharmacymagazine #meintagapharmacy #pharmacyfinder #alzheimersdementia #dementia #alzheimerstreatment #alzheimerstherapy #brainstimulation #newpossibilitiesforalzheimerstherapy #helpforzheimers #tpsinpractice

The world of medicine and science is evolving rapidly, especially in the field of neurostimulation. Formerly on the fringes of scientific research, brain stimulation methods such as Transcranial Pulse Stimulation (TPS) are now at the center of a revolutionary shift. Thanks to these advanced technologies and constantly improving scientific data, this method is gaining increasing recognition. It offers new hope and innovative treatment options for a growing number of patients. The TPS is also represented at this year's DGN Congress and the current DGPPN Congress with further scientific work, including from the team led by Prof. Dr. Dr. Ulrich Sprick, Alexius/Josef-Clinic Neuss/Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf, and from Klinikum Wahrendorff under the direction of Prof. Dr. Marc Ziegenbein. The researchers presented further data on Alzheimer's disease, but also on the results of TPS treatment for depression, post-Covid (post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection (PASC)), Benson's syndrome and Lewy body dementia. With the increasing amount of data on TPS, which is a non-invasive brain stimulation procedure (NIBS), media interest in therapy methods that are now described as effective, safe and, above all, virtually free of side effects and are of great interest to both experts and those affected is also growing. The well-known science magazine "Bild der Wissenschaft" (“picture of science”) therefore clearly recommended Transcranial Pulse Stimulation (TPS) as a NIBS procedure for patients in its article "New developments in dementia therapy" published on 29.11.23: https://lnkd.in/eTA9EZYw #alzheimerscience #transcranialpulsestimulation #tps #dgncongress #dgppncongress #bildderwissenschaft #bildderwissenschaftdementia #bildderwissenschafttps #profulrichsprick #profmarcziegenbein #wahrendorff #wahrendorffclinic #nibs #neurostimulation #brainstimulation #alzheimerstherapy #postcovid #bensonsyndrom #bodylewydementia

🧠🚨 A Threat to Neurological Care | Silke Biethahn, Martina Goeldlin, Urs Fischer, on behalf of the SNS Board 🚨🧠 Switzerland is facing a growing shortage of neurologists, while the demand for their services is increasing. This is driven by various neurological conditions that affect a significant proportion of the population. Long waiting times for appointments are also causing many patients to turn to emergency care, putting additional strain on healthcare facilities. The possible introduction of admission restrictions could further exacerbate the shortage of neurologists and have a negative impact on patient care. The SNS strongly opposes such measures and calls for alternative solutions to ensure that all patients have access to high-quality neurological care. 𝗔𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗹𝘇𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗿’𝘀 Transcranial direct current stimulation could improve cognitive function in people with Alzheimer's disease. The German medical journal #Ärzteblatt refers to a small study now published in the journal #GeneralPsychiatry: ___Methods 📌 124 patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer’s 📌 twice-a-day transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) ___Results 👉 Significant improvement of cognitive functions, especially in the memory domain (world recall, recall of testinstructions and word recognition) 👉 Enhanced cortical plasticity Of course, these are just the first results of a small study. The authors of the study, led by Xingxing Li, admit that more research is needed. Nevertheless, they conclude that tDCS could improve cognitive function in Alzheimer's patients. I think it’s another step in the fight against Alzheimer's. 👍 Read the publication: https://lnkd.in/exkdzXnb

"We are infinitely grateful and can only recommend the TPS to all those affected." This is what Alzheimer's patient Jochen Vieregge and his wife Erika said as if from the same mouth in our interview in the Hamburg practice of Prof. Dr. med. Musa Citak last week. The 73-year-old Jochen, who had already been clinically diagnosed with Alzheimer's dementia in 2019, has been regularly treated with the neurostimulation procedure Transcranial Pulse Stimulation (TPS) since the beginning of 2021. In November 2021, he had been the protagonist of RTL's first major TV report on TPS. At that time, Prof. Citak, an expert in regenerative medicine and professor at the Hannover Medical School (MHH), and his medical teams had only treated around 30 patients but were already convinced of the benefits of TPS thanks to the success of the treatment. In the meantime, more than 700 patients are being treated with TPS in Prof. Citak's practices and are benefiting to varying degrees - and in the long term, as the example of Jochen Vieregge shows. In an interview with "Alzheimer Deutschland", the former warehouse foreman at the port of Hamburg is living proof, even after almost three years of TPS intervention, that Transcranial Pulse Stimulation (TPS) not only brings the disease to a halt in his case too, but also gives him and his family a symptom-free and fulfilling life. With this interview, the Vieregge couple would like to show other sufferers that a life worth living and active despite the diagnosis of Alzheimer's dementia is finally possible thanks to modern physical medicine and decades of research in this field. The interview can be seen here in German and will be available with English subtitles soon: https://lnkd.in/dNgTg-sj #transcranialpulsestimulation #tps #neurostimulation #profmusacitak #musacitak #rtl #tpsrtl #tpslongtimeexperience #alzheimerstherapy #alzheimerstreatment #alzheimersstop #dementia #dementiatherapy #jochenvieregge #physicalmedicine #regenerativemedicine #tpstreatmentsuccess #alzheimergermany #tpsinterview #interview
