We are looking forward to your visit in the Doldenhornhütte.

The winter room (unattended) is open for a maximum of 10 people.
The new season 2024 starts again on 18 May 2024.

Our offer

Overnight stay

The family-friendly Doldenhornhütte has 38 sleeping places. All sleeping places are equipped with duvet covers and pillows. For hygiene reasons, a cotton or silk sleeping bag is therefore obligatory for the overnight stay. Overnight accommodation is offered with half board (dinner and breakfast) as standard. The washroom and toilets are located in a separate building, not far from the hut.

Food & drinks

We will be happy to serve you our specialities in the homely guest room or on the beautiful terrace.
We can offer our day and overnight guests a varied range of drinks and food. We attach great importance to traditional and regional products and know our suppliers personally. We are happy to provide information and recommendations.

Alpine cheese

For your appetite we recommend our cheese platter with alp cheese from the Ueschinen alp, which is carefully produced by Gabi and Hans Rösti here in the neighbour valley, just opposite us.

Hut beer

The Doldenhorn hut will be serving a hut beer, brewed by local brewers Ginette Pernet and Martin Ruprecht at Frutigen.

Hike to the hut

The hike to the Doldenhorn hut follows a magnificent mountain trail from Kandersteg in the Berner Oberland to the hut at the foot of the mountain Doldenhorn (3643 m above sea level). The trail leads through beautiful larch and stone pine forests with wonderful views of Lake of Oeschinen above the tree line to the Doldenhorn Hut (1915 m above sea level).
