Description

The species forms loose to dense, striking yellow-green-colored cushions or lawns. The plants become about 1 cm, sometimes also up to 2 cm high. At least thicker cushions are dark brown rhizoid .The leaves are egg-shaped lanceolate to almost tongues. In a dry state, they are weak, but distinctly bent, upright in the moist state. The leaf edge is flat or at the most at the bottom. However, the perichaetal leaves are rolled up along their entire length.The species can be vegetatively propagated by rhizoid molds formed in the rhizoid felt.The slightly curved capsules sit on a yellow seta . The peristomial teeth are twisted three times to the left.
