Lindsey Brenna Gleiche, 31, passed away on July 8th 2023 in a plane crash in Murrieta, California. The crash left 5 others  dead including her boyfriend, Riese Lenders. Lindsey was born in Towson, Maryland but spent the last 10 years living in Southern California.

Lindsey Graduated from Dulaney High School, Class of 2010. She moved to Los Angeles where she graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise with a degree in Visual Communications. After graduation she moved to Huntington Beach where she resided for the last 5 years.  Lindsey’s creative talents  and hard work helped her build a career as a graphic designer. She provided freelance graphic design work for various companies and institutions . Additionally, she worked as the Lead Content Author for Dollar General Corporation where she utilized her skills in graphic and web design. At the time of Lindsey’s passing she was the Art Director & Designer for a book being produced by Jay Blakesberg titled “Gratefully Tattooed”. The book, which will be dedicated in her memory, showcases some of the top Grateful Dead tattoo artists today and was a project that was near and dear to her heart as it combined her love of art and graphic design with her love of music of the Grateful Dead.

Lindsey had great passion for music, the outdoors, and exploring . “Life is short, buy the ticket” read a handwritten note on Lindsey’s fridge. She was not one to shy away from a trip or adventure with friends or family. She loved attending music concerts and festivals (particularly jam bands such as her favorite band, Goose).  She was an avid snowboarder and loved boarding in Mammoth (CA), Utah, Colorado, and Big Sky (MT). She loved camping trips, kayaking, paddleboarding, and hiking. Lindsey’s passion and vibrancy shined in all of her relationships, work, and hobbies. Her smile and affection made her beloved by so many people.  She was a bright light in so many communities and people’s lives. People who knew Lindsey best described her as vibrant, outgoing, down-to-earth, vivacious, loving, free-spirited, and passionate.

Lindsey is survived by her mother and father Janet and Robert Gleiche, brother Brett Gleiche; aunts and uncles Barbara and Martin Tutschek, Donna and Tom Pignitor; cousins Amanda and Alex Tutschek, and Chuck Curtis.

A celebration of life is being held on Saturday, July 29th from 4pm – 7pm at Eagle’s Nest Country Club in Phoenix, MD. The celebration will feature an open microphone at 5pm for friends and family to share uplifting and inspiring memories, stories, and experiences from Lindsey’s life. The event will provide food and drinks. Guests are encouraged to dress comfortably as we celebrate Lindsey’s energetic and bright personality. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or another charitable organization of your choice.
