I don't know if anyone on the board is in the market for a new fly box ... but for anyone needing a box to hold their big flies, streamers, poppers, etc.

This box is the Junior model ... the full size model is HUGE.

I guess I felt inspired to get this box filled today since it is in the 70's today. I'll be on the family pond and a few other warmater places soon ... and this box has all my big warmwater needs filled.

Great looking collection of flies in a nice box! What are those flies on the bottom right of the left side? Alec

I saw those boxes mentioned somewhere online but I couldn't find anywhere that sold them. Did you order that online? Looks like a great box for bass bugs.

Nice collection you got there!

Alec;

I'll speak up even though that's not my fly box. Excellent layout, btw. This box is a great candidate for the Fly Box Porn series on Fly Fish Ohio (hint, hint ;) )

That used to be called The Spoon Minnow and is made by The Kreel Tackle Co.. It is now know as the Paradox minnow. It's a chamois and epoxy fly rod "spoon" with some of the most amazing action - its a killer for smallmouth bass and white bass. Available in a number of sizes, with or without wire weedguards. I wrote about them in the article here. I carry a box with a dozen of these along with Dupre spoon flies and epoxy shad darts whenever I travel to new water - they will always work. I have no relationship with the Kreel Tackle Co. - I'm just a fan of weird things you can fish on a fly rod:rollin.

I didn't mean to hijack the thread. I'll now return you to your regularly scheduled programming. :lol

Flytackle ... what he (Cornmuse) said ... and he said it better than I would have. I picked up those flies last summer up in Charlotte and haven't really gotten to give them much of a chance as yet. Though sounds like they are a good pattern. They do wobble nicely and have a very neat action.

Cormuse ... thanks for the compliment on the layout of the box. I am a neat freak ... and wanted sinking flies on one side and floating flies on the other side.

Jeff ... I ordered this box from North Platte Fly Shop in Wyoming.

Cliff Outdoor Products is a great company that is putting out some really cool products ... and they are made in the U.S.A.

Thanks Fellows - I may have to get one of those big boxes and fill it with classic bass flies! Here's a link to Cliff outdoors:

Alec, I didn't mention this yet but if you don't think that you'll try to put this into a lumbar pack or chest pack ... then I'd spring for the full size model. It would fit into a backpack ... but most other packs no way. It would be a great boat box if you need something big to carry A LOT of flies. I think it is only $5 more for the larger model.
