Hello,
This is a livery for the Flying Iron Bf 109 G-6 depicting the Bf 109 F-4 "Gelbe 14" of the Jagdgeschwader 27 (Fighter Wing 27) stationed in Africa and was flown in mid 1942 by German fighter ace Hans-Joachim Marseille. While stationed in Africa between February 1941 until his death on September 30th, 1942, he was credited with at least 140 of his 158 aerial victories. He died on his return from a mission when his plane caught fire due to a technical defect. He ejected and was hit by the aft stabiliser.
Installation:
1. select which version you want: redacted markings (liveries-bf109_Marseille) or historical markings (liveries-bf109_Marseille_historical)

This is the livery I've been waiting for! Jochen Marseille is the best fighter pilot of all time. Had he not had that fatal accident, he would have far surpassed Hartmann, who is also an undisputed ace.
Great job, thank you so much!

Considering that he raked up more than 140 of his victories in less than one and half years, I'd agree he definitively could have surpassed Bubi Hartmann. Also Hartmann mainly flew on the Eastern Front and faced mostly older enemy planes.
One thing though: Hartmann never got shot down. Marseille did once in May 41. :-)
