Unlocking the imagination of the human race to forge unlikely connections for a fairer world. "One unlikely connection to someone on a different side of the tracks can change the course of a student’s life... a school’s future, a town, a nation, the world." — Professor Einstein, IMAGI-NATION {University}

Supporting and empowering educators

Teachers and educators must become mentors to the children they teach. Once holding the power of information over children, they now face the 21st century challenge of children having access to a world of information in their pockets. Now, they must cross the line and stand alongside those they teach, evolving from lecturers into guides, problem-solvers and advisors. Our commitment is to train teachers to teach with IMAGI-NATION so there are less students outside of the mainstream. We do this with our mentor training that helps teachers evolve into mentors and guides, shift mindsets and work within each school community, to re-imagine our relationships, and re-design the opportunities and platforms for students who have previously been left out to be involved in the re-design and be part of the solution instead of being labelled the problem. We work within the walls of what’s already there and flex the model.

Commitment

To unlock the imagination of the human race to forge unlikely connections that lead to a different set of outcomes, a fairer world, through:

UNIVERSITY STUDENT LEADERS in urban areas leading AIME student chapters on campus to create mentoring connections for marginalised youth, to lead to educational equity & beyond.

TEACHERS in rural and remote locations activated as mentors, teaching with imagination to engage ALL the students in their classroom, and building bridges to local employers & those in power outside the school.

SCHOOL STUDENTS from outside the margins having the stage to create change from the inside of the school as entrepreneurs of change and show they are not the problem, but the solution.

50,000 jobs and opportunities for marginalised youth.

IMAGI-NATION, AIME's digital nation, a space of exchange and connection where young people from outside the margins can connect with mentors for a two-way exchange of knowledge; with stories that introduce heroes we haven't seen, to shift our biases and to see the potential we all have; with knowledge for freedom of the mind; and with a network for exchange of opportunities, wealth and ideas.
