INDIANAPOLIS – Former Walsh University student-athlete Holly Grober has officially been added to the Great Midwest Athletic Conference staff in downtown Indianapolis in the role of Operations & Media Coordinator.

Grober will be responsible for multiple areas in media relations helping promote 23 conference championship sports along with website maintenance and social media efforts. She will also play a specific role for the conference day-to-day internal operations that includes organization of officiating payments and helping with the logistics and planning of league meetings.

Grober will also be the primary contact between the conference and the Great Midwest Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

“Holly will be an excellent addition to the Great Midwest team and we are looking forward to the contributions she will make in the new Operations & Media Coordinator role,” said Great Midwest commissioner Tom Daeger. “As a former student-athlete and administrative graduate assistant in the league, she has great familiarity with our membership, operations, and championship offerings. She will offer fresh perspective on ways to enhance our student-athlete experience and provide needed support in conference operations and media relations efforts.”

Grober played basketball at Great Midwest member institution Walsh from 2014-18 and stayed in North Canton as a graduate assistant in the sports information department.

During that time, Walsh transitioned from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) to the Great Midwest, and she helped onboard new sports information director, Tyler Stotsky.

Grober was a team captain for the Cavaliers and served as a member of the Walsh SAAC on campus. She helped promote the Walsh athletic department in as a GA and is closing in on her MBA in Marketing.

"I would like to thank Tom Daeger and the rest of the Great Midwest staff for giving me this opportunity,” said Grober. “I was drawn to the G-MAC because I was able to see first-hand the work they do to better their institutions and the student-athlete experience."

Grober completed her undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Corporate Communications. In the greater Canton area, she completed internships at organizations like the YWCA, Better Future Facilitators and AreaTrend.

Before joining the Great Midwest, Grober was also coaching basketball at Oakwood Middle School for both seventh and eighth grade girls’ programs.
