As promised, here are the images from the Jocks: Locker Room Chornicles video. For completeness, I have included the video also at the end of the images.

This is part of the Rugby series, which shows the daily lives of players in a Rugby team. It’s a mix of friendliness, brotherhood, and admiration for each other. Although it depicts scenes you might typically seen at the gym or the locker room, some men do demonstrate some more-than-friendly behaviors, seen through the implied emotions through their facial expressions.

These expressive facial emotions were possible mostly due to the Virile Animation, the checkpoint model I used for these Stable Diffusion models. Unlike most of the checkpoint models which are catered to the straight audience, this particular model was made by a gay man, and as such, has a strong sensibility towards gay AI art generation. You can download this model from Civitai. Be sure to read the readme on the page as it contains several important tweaks and parameters which are crucial for giving the highest quality renders.

I have long found this special bond between men fascinating. As a gay man, I naturally understand the community aspect of the gay brotherhood. But what I find curious is the natural fraternity amongst straight men. These bonding exercises often extend far beyond simple friendships, and the level of bromance can be felt so strongly that sometimes rival that of gay lovers.

A lot of the things being shown in my works are partially influenced by my own experience. So the color scheme of blue and white was heavily influenced by the four years I’ve spent at Yale, which was when I have experienced this type of brotherhood amongst men — the types of friendships that were, quite frankly, both comforting and confusing at the same time. The guys always assured me that what they did were perfectly normal and perfectly straight, but to this date I still question about the many things that went down so many years ago.
