In German, the words "egozentrisch" and "egoistisch" both relate to self-centeredness, but they have slightly different nuances.
The word "egozentrisch" refers to someone who is self-centered or egocentric. It describes a person who tends to focus excessively on themselves and their own needs, often disreg feelings or needs of others. This term implies that the person is primarily concerned with their own interests and may lack empathy or consideration for others.
Example:
- Er ist so egozentrisch, er denkt immer nur an sich selbst. (He is so egocentric, he always only thinks about himself.)
On the other hand, "egoistisch" refers to someone who is selfish or self-centered in a more deliberate and intentional way. It describes a person who actively their own interests and desires, often at the expense of others. This term implies that the person is aware of their self-centered behavior and chooses to prioritize their own needs over the needs of others.
Example:
- Sie ist egoistisch und denkt nur an sich selbst. (She is selfish and only thinks about herself.)
In summary, while both "risch" and "egoistisch" describe self-centeredness, "egozentrisch" suggests a more inherent or natural tendency to focus on oneself, while "egoistisch" implies a deliberate and intentional pursuit of one's own interests at the expense of others.

The behavior is mostly the same. The difference is that egocentric ppl are not even able to imagine that there is more needs than those of themselfes.

I think they are a bit different how they are used.
Normally you would use the word Egoistisch for selfish.
It can be used to describe the personality ot someone or certain behavor.
It means
"Only having your own interest in mind"
Egozentrisch is a more unusual word and can be used in the same way, however it can also mean something else, maybe selfcentered is similar in english, it can mean "somebody only sees their own emotions"
Also maybe "Someone thinks everthing is about them"
