Oxalis purpurea L.

Herbs with an underground rhizome and bulbs with a blackish brown surface. Leaves 5-20 with stalks 2-6 cm long and 3 obovate to rhombic leaflets 1-3 cm long and wide, sometimes notched. Flowers solitary with pink to purple or occasionally yellow, cream or white petals, 1.4-4 cm long, yellow at the base; autumn to winter. Fruit not apparent.
