Despite the recent circulation of rumors surrounding Wesley Snipes joining the cast of the upcoming fourth John Wick, the Blade actor is not involved in the film at all.

In the past few weeks, news regarding the cast in the upcoming John Wick 4 has slowly been confirmed. Former Blade star, Wesley Snipes was reported to be in the talks with Lionsgate earlier this year to potentially take on a supporting role in the new sequel. However, the rumors have been debunked recently as the talks were revealed to be unsucessful.

The Hollywood Reporter‘s Borys Kit took to Twitter to address the reports stating, “Despite some reports, action star @wesleysnipes is NOT going to be in John Wick 4. There were some discussions a little while ago but it didn’t work out.”

Snipes is best know for his portrayal in the 1990s Blade franchise where he played the half-vampire warrior who hunts vampires with his “daywalker.” It has been recently confirmed that the series is being rebooted with Mahershala Ali taking the lead role. Though fans may be disappointed to know that Snipes will not be joining the cast of the fourth John Wick installment, the latest film is expected to be loaded with the new and returning actors, including Laurence Fishburne coming back as The Bowery King. Keanu Reeves, Rina Swayama, Donnie Ye, and Shamier Anderson are all confirmed to appear in the fourth film

John Wick 4 is set to release in theaters on May 27, 2022.
