Print details: My first Garaus piece💜

Hello everyone!

Today I am back with another main piece close-up, this time with a piece I am super excited about! My first piece by this 90s Japanese brand, Garaus! 🙌

Garaus is the predecessor of Cornet/ Shot Gun Wedding and had been around since 1990. Starting from 2000-2001 they changed their name. They have some very oldschool pieces, heavily influenced by the same trends as Jane Marple at the time. As an oldschool lolita, it was really my goal to find a piece from them someday, but am very picky about adding new pieces, it should really suit my style and aesthetic in oldschool lolita. So when this piece was available and I could get, I knew it was the right one. It is a weird purple crushed velvet with gobelin with a wide collar and super short?? Hello my love.

Here the piece is in all its glory. It is a discussion if it is a coat or a dress, I wear it as a dress but it is short! I like leggy out, but it is a preference haha. I also layered it over a simple cotton skirt and love that extra layer too!

This dress has the most intense eggplant colour! It is so lovely honestly. It also has some simple waistties which I appreciate.

The buttons on this are quite big, gold and gaudy. Definitely a choice, but I love it haha. The gold is gorgeous with this eggplant colour.

Only the top part at the front is gobelin, the dress is empire waisted and this part is definitely not boob friendly as it is a small gobelin border. However, for my bust it is just fine!

I love the gold band around the gobelin and the gobelin has some very subdued colors, with colder shades of green and salmon pinks.

The sleeves has puffy shoulders which I really appreciate 💜

And some nice puff at the end of the sleeve too! I really like the sleeves!

And the iconic Garaus label. Still cannot believe I own this beauty💜

I hope you liked looking at this old piece, it is 25 years old approximately and cannot believe the amazing condition! Very pleased and cannot wait to show you some coords with this soon🥰
