Abstract

A tribute is being paid to the pioneer of laparoscopic cholecystectomy, Dr. Erich Mühe, who had to face a lot of criticism and opposition to make this surgery a gold standard procedure. He was the person to bring about a revolution by introducing the minimal invasive surgery and its desired benefits to the world.
