Q:
Does anybody know if the se?afood here is fresh or frozen?
A:
I am sure it's a combination and you can ask but not sure all the answers will be accurate on what is or isn't fresh.

Does this restaurant offer brunch buffet on Sunday, if not what does the brunch consist of?
A:
There's never been a buffet at any of their properties. Cobalt, Cosmos, Luna's, GT's, Buzzcats, etc.

Great food, atmosphere, location and service - always enjoy eating here. The fish is amazing as are the pasta dishes.

We had a party of 14 and they were awesome. The server, R Chaiden (didn't catch his name so I pulled it from the receipt) was efficient, friendly and helpful. He made sure our items & choices were perfect.
We ordered the grilled oysters and they were perfect. The grouper was actual fresh grouper and the tuna stack was an excellent piece of sushimi grade tuna and it was plentiful.
The restaurant is beautiful located on the water with outside fire pits and nice views.
We will definitely keep this one on the list for future meals.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sarah S.Fort Greely, AK695671Mar 31, 2024
Beautiful location!! I could sit and watch the water all day. We enjoyed the crab claws, Reuben, and shrimp and grits for lunch. The shrimp and grits were in need of some spice/heat. I had to add salt and pepper, but that didn't really help. It was palatable, but needed that heat.
The sauerkraut was pretty cold on the Reuben, and not enough dressing (might not even have had any on it).
The triple layer chocolate cake was good. I'm not a big sweet eater, and this was not very sweet at all.
The service was great!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Mar 29, 20242 check-ins
Great view and great atmosphere. On a trip staying at Caribe we came twice
to Cobalt. The restaurant staff was prompt and checked on you even when they were slammed. We tried the grilled oysters which were solid. I am used to New Orleans caliber but these will do...a little more butter and more flame and they get to the next level. I tried the bronzed grouper special topped with crab. Tasted good but needed a little more of the sauce. The burger that was eaten was okay but the mashed potatoes were outstanding...and the pepperoni pizza was not good. The second time we finally got a seat at the bar. The bartender (Jay) works his butt off. The drink line was constant....so either get a table or go inside otherwise you will wait. The second day a grilled chicken pizza was eaten and it was better than the burger whatever that means. I had the crawfish and andouille sausage in a vodka sauce. It was delicious. I would eat that ten out of ten times visiting there. Being the only place to eat there makes it crazy busy so don't expect a quick trip at peak times.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Mar 17, 2024Updated review
A must stop for us every time we come to this area... Have been coming, since they opened in 2009... Never disappointed, food always fresh and delicious... My 18yr likes this place so much, she insists we eat here... Today, i was hungry for something with Tuna... So, I chose the Blackened Tuna Salad.... I requested both vinaigrette dressings on the side... Once it arrived at the table, it was better than expected... Normally, I wouldn't pay over $15 for a salad... But, this one was well worth paying the difference...It had a big piece of well seasoned tuna, cooked to perfection, pickled cucumber, carrots, and onions, goat cheese (my favorite,) and candied pecans... The whole salad was a bit different and so so good... Dressings were very complimentary to the ingredients.... Now, It will hard for me to ever try something different bc I liked it so much... My mouth I actually drooling thinking about it.... And, it one of the healthier options on menu!
Healthy does go out the window when passing the desert bar....My daughter also always insists that we get desert to carry back to our condo... Huge selection, as you can see pictured here.... We could seriously try each one of them...But, that would add on quite a few pounds I don't need... So, I settle for my all time favorite, Toffee Crunch cookie.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Mar 14, 2022Previous reviewNo more brunch since Covid , such a bummer... But, I have discovered they have a great Happy Hour from 3-5 that serves an awesome "Cobalt Caviar," Firecracker Shrimp, and pizza... The drink specials are also great deals to take advantage of during that time of day. Also, if you like raw oysters, they have a decent price on them too... Lunch & dinner won't disappoint, but happy hour is great if you just want a quick snack!
Oct 12, 2019Previous reviewCobalt is in a prime location by the water... There's a pretty view everywhere you sit in the restaurant... The food is pricey, but worth the quality... Never had a bad meal here... I highly recommend the Sunday brunch... It's all you can eat, so you get your monies worth... For $20, your not gonna find such scrumptious food anywhere else in the area... And, others must agree because the place fills up quickly... I even spoke to a local who said he always brings people from out of town here, and he treats his wife to the buffet about once a month.

This is my second time here and I will definitely be back. First of all, you can't beat the absolutely gorgeous location right on the water. The coastal breezes are wonderful. If you're lucky you might catch the dolphins swimming nearby. They had a really fun band playing. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Even for being so busy, the wait wasn't bad and our food came pretty quick. We had a phenomenal seafood dip and crab claws to start. Our family ordered everything from broiled seafood and roasted chicken to pizza. And all of it was good! Location, service, atmosphere and food were all great!

My friends and I simply could not stay away from this place when we came for our vacation. All I have to say is - ORDER THE FIRECRACKER SHRIMP! It was seriously life changing. I mean, we still talk about it to this day. So mad that I don't have a picture! We also ordered the combination oysters at lunch time. We went for happy hour multiple times during our week-long trip, and we truly enjoyed it. The drinks were awesome. The staff was friendly. There were a few times that service was slow, but it was totally understandable because they were busy. It's in a great location- right on the water which was beautiful. Can't wait to come back!

We arrived for dinner and had about a 45 min wait to sit inside. It was a Saturday night around 530 so expected some wait time. I got the crab bisque, husband got the shrimp platter and fries. My son got the chicken and fries. It was a good crab bisque but not the best i have had. The shrimp platter was pretty good per my husband.

Excellent service and good food! Always our favorite when visiting! The view was remarkable at sunset. We ate from the sunset menu. Had the Firecracker shrimp for starters! A meal in itself!
