Happy Pike Ice Cream & Snack Bar

They had many different types of ice cream. The ice cream was delicious and full of flavor. I highly recommend this place. While we were walking and looking for ice cream, we ran past this place. This has wonderful ice cream. One of the best I've ever had. I really recommend going to this place.

What a great place to spend a perfect summer day! They have a nice seating area indoors and outdoors to eat meals and enjoy live music. They also have an ice cream parlor outside on the left side of the restaurant. If you'd like to sit by the lake, there is another seating area. You can play corn hole or connect four on fhe lawn. This place is perfect for families and their pets! The only issue is that whenever we go there is no parking and whenever I asked for an ice cream flavor, they were out and the staff didn't know what flavors were good or worth trying. Other than that- definitely check out this place if you're exploring local eateries in Plattsburgh NY!

I love Happy Pike! Such a great vibe when we need a break from the beach. I think it's the tastiest soft serve in the area and the service is always friendly. Their frozen adult beverages are soooo good!

Place is infested with flies for one. Asked for a salad and it was obviously old. The greens were starting to turn brown. Won't ever go back. It's ashamed, this place used to be a great place. But has had an ownership change.

Been there each time I visit family. Great ice cream! But special note that I ordered salads for two nights and both were excellent. Very accommodating about pick up.

This place was pretty good. The soft serve was really nice. I visited twice. Tried the donut cone but didn't see what was so great. It was more of a cinnamon roll than a donut. The butterscotch soft serve was good.

They don't take credit cards. They lost a full star because of that.

Definitely one of the best spots to get ice cream, their other food is average.(Typical roadside food snack shack)

We had a good first experience here. It was busy in the outdoor area when we walked in and a couple of tables indoors. Our server was pleasant, checked on us once after our dinners came out and food was good. Appetizer came out quickly. It did take a bit for our dinners to come out but it was to be expected. The green salad was fresh, the side salads tasted just like home. We then had ice cream after and the kids enjoyed that. Especially the donut cone.

Though I was a bit surprised to see the bang bang shrimp appetizer being such a small amount for the price. It was hard to share the 8 shrimp between 3 of us. I've had bang bang shrimp from Bonefish Grill and found this one to be disappointing. For a little over $1 more, you get a much bigger amount at Bonefish. They're also described as jumbo shrimp but definitely aren't so. More like a medium.

One thing that really stood out to us though was one of the other servers (not ours). Man, how completely miserable she looked! Not once did I see a smile on her face and she had no response when my daughter happened to be in her way, which we didn't know as it was our first time in the restaurant and weren't sure if we sat ourselves or waited to be seated. I apologized to her for being in her way and... well... nothing. Not even an acknowledgment of our apology. Very rude indeed.

We will be back again as we did not have a bad personal experience. Just observation. There was a lot on the menu we want to try. Loaded poutine sounds great!

This is the place to eat in the summer by the lake! Come in by boat, bike or car. Food is good and ice cream is great! Hate that they are closed in the off season, but that's what makes this place even more special.

Staff is friendly, and the guests are a mix of locals and boaters. Fun to sit outside and eat or walk over and look at the lake while you enjoy some awesome ice cream.

We were visiting the area and stopped in for a late night ice cream. While the ice cream was very good, the employees and customers seemed very wary of us. We got the feeling that the place was not as friendly to non-locals. I do not think we would return here due to the stand offish attitudes of managers, other customers and employees. A shame because the ice cream was yum!
