Scott is an impeccable craftsman and artist. He was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Very prompt to provide a consult, quote, and then get rolling with the design, build and updates. He oversees and personally handles all details from start to finish. The end product - a built in with pull out desk - along a whole wall and along a window looks amazing and beautiful. Completely changed the look and feel of our living room and whole house. Very grateful for all Scott's genius and hard work. Simply awesome!

Scott, you made my dreams for the fireplace nook cabinets come true!

I'd been thinking and dreaming about fireplace nook cabinets for several years. My SF house has traditional styling with crown moldings and wood floors so the modern glass media cart my husband bought to house our AV equipment just never looked right to me.

I already had a good idea of what I wanted, cabinets and a floating shelf above, painted to match the existing trim (I knew the exact color from an earlier paint job). I found Scott's business on Yelp and looked at his web site. Photos of his previous projects were very helpful as I could see the cabinet styles were a good match to my vision. At our first meeting, Scott made helpful suggestions for the styling of the doors and shelf edges, then emailed me preliminary 3D drawings a couple days later.

The drawers on the right side cabinet have automatic soft close slides which are oh-so-cool. I wanted sliding doors so we could open them while using our AV system, for better dissipation of heat and no need for IR repeaters. Scott installed grommets (painted to match) for running cables out of the front of the cabinets to the pair of speakers that flank the fireplace. Cutouts and grommets were installed in interior shelves for cable management. I've included some photos on this Yelp page.

We had a very complicated project to build a media center with a fireplace in a space with an existing wet bar of a historic house. I contacted so many different contractors but nobody could come up with a plan that would work for that space. Then I found Scott who was so knowledgeable and came up with a beautiful plan for this space. He was super professional and completed the project as scheduled. The final project was so beautiful and became the highlight of our house. He was even able to accommodate our request to add Edwardian details to the fireplace mantle. Scott built my husband and me a beautiful, custom built-in media center for our house in San Francisco. He patiently worked with us on the design (we had some specific ideas about what we wanted, and requirements around how big the space for the TV could be) including going through a number of design iterations. He also came up with an ingenious way to work around an awkwardly-placed pipe.

Scott and his team did the demolition work on the existing closet space extremely quickly and efficiently, and came up with clever ways to save us from having to re-do the hardwood floor around the closet. The new built-in was done perfectly and seemed like it sprung up overnight.

Scott was quick, clean, and reasonably priced vs. alternatives. We have highly recommended Scott to our friends, and would work with him again in a heartbeat!

Hiring Scott was one of the best house decisions we've made. We wanted built-in bookcases and shelving to surround the fireplace in our sparse living room, and Scott worked with us to design exactly what we needed. He was extremely patient with and responsive to our feedback, and ultimately transformed a room that we never used, into the room we now spend the most time in. I subcontracted Scott to build two large bookcases for a remodel project I was working on for one of my best and long term clients. He was very prompt at returning calls and communicated clearly as a professional should. Also he did some preliminary drawings of the units in 3D so my client could see the design and make any changes before it was built.

After installation my client decided that he did in fact want to make some changes to the original design. Scott went above and beyond being flexible to make my client happy, and he completed the changes for material cost only! This kept my good standing with my client, and he is now very happy with the finished product.

Scott made my vision come true. Absolutely stunning . I had some friends over for dinner not so long ago, and someone commented on how my aquarium was a different kind of wood than all my other furniture. It planted a seed and every time I entered my living room, I noticed all the different textures and shades of wood I had going on. I wanted something to house all of my furniture and have a cohesive look. I did a sketch one evening that held all elements of my wooden furniture: My electric fireplace, a kind of orange pine, my aquarium, a pale blond stain, my mahogony humongous China cabinet and my TV table that I picked up in a garage sale, also a different kind of wood, walnut I think. I did some googling for designers near me and came up with 3. The first two looked like Ikea on speed, very flat, modern, minimalist and then I got to Sallinger designs and I was blown away. Solid, modern, but with a Victorian old world feel. My first apartment was in the Mission district and his work reminded me of the built in I left behind. Scott arrived and looked at my sketch, took measurements, at least three times, and a few days later, drawings arrived in my email. It was such a pleasure working with Scott, he listened to my ideas and worked with my space, recommended Julio to paint my space, he did a great job, and even helped me with the color for the walls. I think the pics show the outcome. I love it. From idea to sketch to contacting Scott and having the cabinets installed was about five weeks. I cannot recommend Scott enough and of course Julio too.

We reached out to Scott via Thumbtack to design a fitted cabinet with shelving for an otherwise-wasted area in our lounge. After our first meeting, he quickly came back with a variety of storage-solution suggestions to suit our space. We took great pleasure in looking through his thorough sketches and working together to create the perfect piece for our home.

Scott and his team delivered, fitted and finished our beautiful cabinet/shelving in one day. We couldn't believe how smooth the process went and how pleased we were with the finished piece.
