Zum schmutzigen Hobby

The scene was decent (middle school hits), until I tried to dance on the platform by the DJ, which I like to do. The DJ didn't let it happen. He grabbed my shoulder with full force and pushed me off the platform. When I told him it hurt, he made a mocking sad face and then waved his had bye-bye. I will never come here when I'm in Berlin again. Also, it will be good to note that I tried to take a picture of the DJ, but the bouncers kicked me out right away.

The new location in Friedrichshain (RAW grounds) surely is an improvement in terms of heading out to other places afterwards. The new interior design is questionable. As much as glitz and glamour is still persistent, the actual bar is too far behind, always crowded and as much as I tried to find positive attributes: it is a cube. A fairly soulless cube that was decorated nicely. Nevertheless - the beergarden is amazing, the downstairs when open fantastic and even the toilets will make you encounter a different view on things...

Despite all that: IT ROCKS. Gotta love Nina Queer, gotta love Germany's Next Top Model and (German classic) Tatort Public Viewing and go crave for the Glamourquiz! Just keep in mind NOT to argue with Nina... unless you fancy public humiliation. Hehe. Oh also, if you show your man or lady bits on the little stage, don't worry about drinks for the night - you'll get them for free!

With some fixed dates and changing special nights it'll always be worth to pay the Hobby a visit.

This was a great night out! It was refreshing to go somewhere that was a little smaller and not techno.

The venue was funky. Nice and intimate without being overly packed. The music was a lot of fun. A range of classic pop and hip hop hits which just made you wanna shake it.

It was a mixed crowd, LGBT and straight. Most people were really friendly. Is it meant to be an LGBT space ? If so, might be good to remind some people it's meant to be LGBT friendly.

Overall, I would recommend going with a group of friends who want to drink and boogie to some fun classics. Was a lot of fun !

Stumbled in here randomly with a group of friends one Saturday night last August. We had a blast. Everyone was so friendly, drinks were cheap, and the dancing kept going til after four in the morning. The outside area was also super nice, since the night was warm

Very popular gay bar with cool night events. You can rent the downstairs room for a private party. You just gotta pay a deposit and if your ppl drink enough you get all of it back.
