SERVICE INSTRUCTION
Before use, read these instructions carefully, and follow them for correct use.
Caliper Brake
BR-6400-49 (49-type)
BR-6400-57 (57-type)

Be sure to use the Shimano 600 ULTEGRA
brake (BR-6400) as a set together with an
ULTEGRA series Brake lever (BL-6400,
BL-6401, BL-6402) and the Shimano outer
cable casing with liner when the spring force
is set for SLR (Shimano Linear Response).

Note
Hold the brake, and dont remove the arm-hoiding
bar until the rim is installed and the brake caliper is
securely mounted. If the bar is removed before the
brake is securely installed, the spring force may be
incorrect.
If used in combination with the
type of frame which has an
inner cable, or with some
other brake lever and outer
cable, increase the return force
as shown below.
1. Brake shoe setting position.

Close the quick-release lever, and
then set as shown in the illustration.
