To prepare for the trip to welcome bee gobies to the tank, you need to know the water parameters so that they can live well.

Let's start small with a 10-gallon tank and 2-3 bee gobies.

I always advise my clients who are just starting out small at first and once you get the hang of it, it's easy to level up your game.

Ideally, you should keep them in a monoculture with other goby species to reduce the risk of stress.

When does the Bee Goby spawn?

When conditions are favourable in the aquatic environment you provide, they will begin to breed

When you notice that the female goby's belly is swollen and the male goby is lighter in colour, they are ready to spawn.

If you want to breed a "bee goby colony", you should pay attention to the pregnant female or not, you will immediately see their abdomen slightly protruding.

The female goby can lay up to 200 eggs at a time in a small ceramic tube, in a seashell or in a flower pot.

After successful breeding, you must immediately remove the female from the tank and keep the male.

It is advisable to transfer the eggs to another tank for the fry to survive. The incubation period lasts from 7 to 9 days.

Newly hatched fry are extremely small and will take anywhere from a week to 10 days to begin swimming freely around the tank.

At this point, you need to feed them infusoria until they are mature enough to switch to an adult diet.
