A minor league hockey team will honor its Stanley Cup-winning affiliate this week, all the way on the other side of the country.

The Savannah Ghost Pirates, the Vegas Golden Knights' ECHL team, announced they will transform into the "Golden Ghosts" for one night only on Thursday, Nov. 16.

Players will wear specialty jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game against Greenville.

The first 5,000 fans will also receive a glow rod to turn the team's home, Enmarket Arena, into the Fortress.

Savannah has been the Golden Knights' ECHL affiliate since 2022.

The Ghost Pirates and the ECHL are one level below the Golden Knights' AHL affiliate, the Henderson Silver Knights.
