Jason Mraz is attracted to both men and women, but isn’t quick to label himself bisexual, opting instead for dub his preferences “two spirit.”

Speculation about the “I’m Yours” crooner’s sexuality was stoked last month when he penned a Pride Month poem for Billboard in which he wrote, “I am bi your side.”

“Honestly, I didn’t realize it was going to be so telling,” Mraz, 41, told Billboard in an interview released Thursday. “But I’ve had experiences with men, even while I was dating the woman who became my wife.”

“It was like, ‘Wow, does that mean I am gay?’ And my wife laid it out for me,” he explained. “She calls it ‘two spirit,’ which is what the Native Americans call someone who can love both man and woman. I really like that.”

Mraz married wife Christina Carano in 2015. He was previously married to Sheridan Edley in 2001.
