The musician also can't believe her hit song "Believe" is also hitting a milestone anniversary

Cher is sharing her thoughts on getting older and turning back time.

In a new Today interview, the Grammy-winning singer opened up about the 25th anniversary of her 1998 smash hit, “Believe” and as she plainly put it, she’s not wowed by the milestone. “It’s not that amazing. It pisses the f--- out of me,” she said.

The Burlesque actress, who turned  77 this past May, was then asked if she and aging are friends, to which she exclaimed, “No!”

She went on to explain that, contrary to her late mother, actress Georgia Holt, who “didn’t mind” aging (Holt lived to 96), she is someone who hates it. “I’d give anything to be 70 again!” she confessed with a smile.

Back in September, Cher — who's brought her superstar style to the red carpet, the stage and Fashion Week — opened up to Good Morning Britain about the very topic, revealing the two fashion and beauty-related things that she’ll keep on wearing for as long as she pleases.

“I just can’t believe I will be 80 at some point, sooner than I wish," she said. "And I will still be wearing my jeans and I will still be wearing long hair and I will still be doing the same stuff I’ve always done.”

Just don’t expect Cher to go gray anytime soon. The star told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview last year that she isn’t likely to embrace the salt-and-pepper look just yet. "[Going gray] is fine for other girls. I'm just not doing it!"

The sentiment goes to show that Cher truly isn’t looking to match up any numbers with how she feels on the inside.

"The genes in my family are pretty amazing,” Cher went on. "I don’t know if not feeling old makes you younger. I keep up with the trends. I have lots of young friends. I have old friends too. Honestly, I’m not trying to feel young. I’m not trying to be young. I am who I am. I’m just getting along.”
