Katherine Heigl

Katherine Heigl is an American actress. She is known for playing Izzie Stevens on the ABC medical drama Grey's Anatomy, a role that earned her an Emmy for outstanding supporting actress in a drama series in 2007. Heigl began her film career in 1992, appearing in That Night and later My Father the Hero (1994) and Under Siege 2: Dark Territory (1995). Her first major TV role was playing Isabel Evans on The WB's Roswell (1999-2002). She is also known for her roles in movies Knocked Up (2007), 27 Dresses (2008) and Life As We Know It (2010). More recently, Heigl executive produced and starred in TV series State of Affairs (2014-2015) and Netflix's Firefly Lane (2021–present). Heigl has been an outspoken animal rights activist throughout her career, founding the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation in honor of her brother, who was killed in a car accident in 1986. She has been married to singer Josh Kelley since 2007; the pair has three children.
