Cultural notes: A very hardy plant accepting of wet conditions and preferring an open sunny position.
Maintenance: Can be pruned after flower to maintain shape and encourage new growth. Can be fertilized after flowering with suitable native plant fertilizer.
Tolerates: Tolerant of drought, frost and poor drainage.
Flowering season: Spring, Summer and Autumn.
Flower colour: Crimson bootlebrush style flower spikes to 12cm long.
Foliage colour: Mid green to dark green lanceolate leaves. The name citrinus refers to the faint citrus scent of the leaves when crushed.
