Nobile Dendrobium should be grown outdoors in the summer from June through August in bright shade. Be careful not to exposure these orchids to direct sunlight, as the leaves will sunburn. In the fall and winter, these orchids should be brought indoors before the first frost and grown in a south window to receive as much light as possible during the cooler seasons.

Temperature and Humidity
Nobile Dendrobium need cool night temperatures in the fall and winter months in order to stimulate flower bud development. Maintain day temperatures of 70°F to 75°F (21°C to 24°C), and night temperatures of 50°F to 60°F (10°C to 15°C) until buds appear. Once the buds appear, raise night temperatures up to 60°F to 64°F (16°C to 18°C) to increase the pace of flower development, and you should have blooms by February. Like most orchids, Nobile Dendrobium benefit from high humidity. This can be achieved at home with the use of a humidifier or a Humidity Tray and Grid. Just make sure that the plant is not standing in water or the roots will rot.
