EDS2024 organizujemo 12.6.2024. u poslovnoj zgradi Energoprojekt. Zvaničan jezik događaja je srpski. Sačuvajte datum! Više informacija o panelima uskoro.

It’s been a delight to witness the first pieces of equipment of the future Wind Farm KOSTOLAC, Serbia, arrive at Site. With 20 wind turbines facilitating total capacity of 66 MW, the future Wind Farm KOSTOLAC shall be the first wind power generation facility for the Project Owner, Joint stock company "Elektroprivreda Srbije". Emotions are running high as EPE Serbia team members, providing Owner’s (FIDIC) Engineer services together with colleagues from Fichtner, Germany, mark this important step in project implementation. Much more to go, but with genuine excitement about the significance of this milestone, we are looking forward to the following months, when equipment erection and assembling are to be carried out.

Another Wind Europe Annual Event, held from 20-22 March in Bilbao, Spain has once again confirmed strong interest of professional community, policy makers, potential investors, and other stakeholders in wind energy industry. Currently 19% of total electricity consumed in Europe comes from the utilization of wind energy. The EU aims for wind energy to make up 35% of all electricity consumed by 2030 and over half by 2050. At this year's WindEurope our Katarina Gapić has witnessed important and useful discussions on plans and initiatives that will facilitate this transition. There is no doubt that the amount of wind energy capacity during next years will grow significantly. With numerous wind projects successfully completed up to date, EPE looks forward to future challenges in this field of its expertise.

It was our pleasure to host Ivan Kokeza and learn about life, leadership, decision making and much, much more...

In today’s turbulent landscape it is more important than ever to find ways to create a coherent workforce and educate employees on issues such as how to find motivation, recognize personal strengths and limitation, as well as to lead rather than manage people. It was our pleasure to host Ivan Kokeza, respected colleague, and consultant with more than 20 years of experience in leading international corporations, business development, strategic decision making as well as leadership training and mentoring, who has shared basic principles and ideas behind his SAIL method aimed at improvement of leadership skills. But it was more than leadership conversation for EPE Serbia colleagues: it was a chance to learn why we make certain decisions in life, how to remove fear from the equation, how to better understand ourselves and others, and much, much more. Not everyone can nor should become a leader, we are all important in our own arena, but we should all try to find out who we really are, and through that internal honesty and understanding the true happiness and success will come. Thank you Ivan Kokeza for such a wonderful lesson!

New unit at TPP Kostolac B, Serbia, has generated its first megawatts! Generator of the new 350 MW unit was synchronized with the Serbian power system on January 26th, marking an important milestone in this capital undertaking.   The project is implemented by Joint stock company "Elektroprivreda Srbije" as the Investor, China Machinery Engineering Corporation in the role of EPC contractor and EPE as FIDIC Engineer and Supervision Official.   Construction of the new 350 MW unit at TPP Kostolac B represents a single largest investment in Serbian power system in past decades. Implementation of this challenging project in highly demanding times has enabled our engineers to confirm EPE’s dedication and commitment to successful completion of highly complex projects. We will continue to build our portfolio and remain reliable partner to our clients in different power generation projects, both thermal and renewable. #powergeneration #fidic #powersystems

The best way to kick off 2024 is with some exciting news, so here are ours:   EPE is pleased to announce yet another outstanding achievement by being awarded Consultancy Services for 400kV Oman Direct Link Project, one of the most prestigious power transmission projects in the Gulf region in recent years.   The Client, Gulf Cooperation Council Interconnection Authority (GCCIA), is a joint stock company established by six Arab Gulf States: Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. The GCCIA is responsible for constructing, maintaining, and operating the 400kV grid interconnection of the mentioned Arab Gulf States power systems.   The 400kV Oman Direct Link Project shall enable the current GCCIA 400kV transmission network to be extended to enable direct interconnection with the Sultanate of Oman. A new 400kV double circuit overhead line connection, with a total route length of 528 km, will be constructed from existing 400kV GCCIA Silaa Substation in the UAE to existing 400/220kV OETC IBRI substation in Oman, through a new intermediate 400kV GCCIA substation in UAE near Madinat Zayed, and a new 400kV GCCIA substation in Oman, adjacent to existing 400/220kV OETC IBRI substation. The project is expected to be completed in early 2026. Interconnecting electrical grids of the Gulf countries is paving the way for a new era of energy collaboration and power trading in the Gulf region and EPE is honored that it can play its part in this process.
