Natural History: Bartlett's Anthias is found on reef slopes and dropoffs, generally in groups of several males and dozens of females. It is observed to aggregate with other anthias species, as well as the midas blenny. Members of the interspecies aggregations generally change to a dorsal yellow and ventral pink coloration.
Husbandry: Bartlett's Anthias is considered a hardy aquarium species and should be housed in a tank with live rock. It generally acclimates quickly if provided numerous hiding places and unaggressive tankmates. This anthias species can be aggressive toward other plankton feeders or other anthias species. Males can be very aggressive and should be housed singly.
