Natural History: The Huchtii Anthias is a shallow-water anthias that is normally found on reef crests, faces, and slopes over areas rich in stony corals. It is observed swimming in feeding groups with Lyretail Anthias.
Husbandry: The Huchtii Anthias is generally not tolerant of other members of their own species. It can be kept in groups of several females with one male in large systems. In smaller systems it is best to house only one male Huchtii Anthias per tank. It has been housed in large reef systems with Lyretail Anthias, but only one male of either species per system. This Anthias species thrives in a shallow-water reef tank.
