this fanart is canon to Wendy Pini´s very first comic "Elfquest" issue 1 published in the late 1970s.
After humans have burned down the forest, the efin tribe camed Wolfriders under the lead of their chieftain Cutter had no other chance then take shelter in the caves of the trolls. The gatekeepers were easily pummeled over and bound and were ordered to lead the elfves to their king, for to rest there and then went on to search for a new home.
Characters from Elfquest belong to Wendy and Richard Pini

ah I remember my brother read these comics and I just recently sold a good amount of issues.
So I don't know the characters that well but these look identical to their comic counterparts! I 'm always so impressed at how good you are at drawing fanart so flawlessly =)

Really? Cool.
Wendy Pini published her last issue exactly 40 years after the release of the first issue. My mother and I are still fans of the stories and the artwork. It influenced my own style very much, that maybe is the reason why the characters look alike^^ so much
thank you very much for the nice compliment *bows deeply:

One thing I love about fanart is that it allows you to more or less advertise some piece of media that might be lost to others. And seeing it through the eyes of someone else is quite an experience on itself.
Great work on this group!

thanks much.
Indeed it is allways fasscinating to see one and the same character drawn by different artists. i am allways interested in this topic.

It is an epic graphic novel, the first issue was published 1979, the last one 2019. The artist literally grew old during the process^^
most of the issues can be found online to read
Read or watch something in a long row, like watching 4-8 episodes of a show at once
Na hoppla! Da erinnert sich noch jemand!
Stimmt.
Als Kind wollte ich auch immer so einen Wolf zum Reiten haben.
Ich mochte Timmain die Hohe als weißer Wolf immer am liebsten

Aye, it is not really furry related topic, but the scenario is a pleasing one^^

Well not so much that it isn't furry, more that it's so old and not really in the mainstream! :0
true Elfquest never was mainstream, but still has a constant fanbase though
