Heniochus varius

Heniochus varius, commonly known as the Horned bannerfish, is a medium-sized butterflyfish, which are also sometimes refferd to as bannerfish. Their body has a large brown triangle outlined by two white bands. The triangle ranges from almost black in the pelvic and anal fin to orangish-brown in the dorsal fin and they've spots arranged in scribbled lines in the lower part. The head is dark brown and the last part of the dorsal fin is orangish-brown. As adults they develop horns on their head. This fish can only be confused with H. pleurotaenia, but H. pleurotania has two dark patches in the triangle, compared to a more gradiently fade from dark to light and some scribbled lines in H. varius.
