Long Scrape Oboe reed with a heart slightly thicker than the average reed and windows slightly thinner to create a really stable reed with some substance. There is a strong spine and the tip is more open than average creating plenty of flexibility. I can customize your reeds with wider diameter cane if you like a smaller opening. I understand that climate affects reeds. Even though my current location is the temperate (arctic in winter) shores of Lake Superior, in the past I have lived and worked in semi-tropical areas and in the desert and know how to adjust reeds for climate. I also understand how altitude affects reeds. I will adjust your reeds accordingly.
