| Hi there.
So I've been playing this mod for a couple of days now and to everyone who participated in making it, you guys are awesome in every sense of the word. (ノ^_^)ノ
There is also another more or less smaller mod for the regular game, it is a total conversion of the normal campaign, turning it into an awesome sort of conquest, war and intrigue driven campaign which is (at least to me) way more fun than the vanilla one. It can be found on the etheria wiki under the mod section (the 5th file) Unfortunately I am not able to post links in here for 7 days since I just signed up on this site.
However, when I downloaded and copied the files into the protectors mod directory the same way I did it with the base game, ran it, reseted the campaign and started the first mission the game just kept freezing when the loadingscreen was at 100%, so my guess is that it is incompatible. (I've tried it for both campaigns, the protectors one and the normal one which also came with the protectors mod, the results where the same)
So my suggiestion here is to make this stand alone mod compatible for campaign chainging mods that are working on the vanilla game,or to incorporate this one in to the mod itself (perhaps as an additional campaign option) it would just be great being able to play this conquest campaign together with this mod. ^_^

| CW Magee's Conquest Campaign will be added as a Custom Campaign as a DLC. Technically, any fan could make this, but since the system is new and the experience isn't out there (lack of tutorials is also bad), I myself will probably need to deal with it. Unless of course, you might be interested in creating the pack yourself?
The only tutorial I wrote on this subject can be found here: http://www.moddb.com/games/the-protectors/tutorials/how-to-make-your-own-custom-campaign-part-1 (notice it's only the first part; sometime I will post the other ones). Be warned though that scenarios which had item chests on it will no longer be supported by TPC 0.8.6, so they will need replacement. The rest should be fully compatible though.

| CW Magee's Conquest Campaign works for TPC already, it was done for 0.8.6 (but never implemented). The only thing needed is item replacement (vanilla bugs were also fixed). - see the TODO list | |

| So if I understood it correctly, the freeze in the loading screen when starting a battle was caused by the map because of the vanilla item chests which where placed in those maps that came with the custom campaign, right?
If that is the case, because the campaign.xml is already there, wouldn't I technically just need to simply rework those maps and replace these chests with those from the protectors mod in order to make the whole campaign compatible?
If so, then I would gladly try to do so and if it works, upload the revised campaign later on. (•‿•)

| I think the only other thing to be cautious of is map events, some of which may not work and may also need to be replaced (not sure if the Conquest Campaign has any though, so it should be ok). After the chests (and maybe events) have been replaced and the maps imported into TPC, it may also be worth ctrl+x ing the maps to update all their objects to TPC. | |

That is precisely the symptom we encountered when implementing the new item chests. All that needs to be done is open the scenario in question with the vanilla editor (or TPC pre 0.8.6) and delete them, then open them with the editor of TPC 0.8.6 and re-place them. CTRL-X is what messes up the events (if any) sometimes, but it also instead updates units and buildings stats, so it might be something worth doing.

| Alrighty, so I've replaced all the vanilla Item chests of every map with TPC ones and ctrl + x'ed them. I started a game with the plaguelords and it all seemed to run perfectly, the first mission which previously caused my game to freeze due to the items was perfectly fine now. I then went onto the Dragons Maze in order to do the first treasure hunt mission, and what I've got then was instead of the plaguelord retinue menue the knight menue as if my race was changed, then after I've started the mission my race also changed to knight ingame and my hero was dead. (」゚ペ)」 Any clue of what might have caused this? | |

| Yes. In TPC, you can remain with no allied race, including your own hero's race. The result is what you experienced. This can be tweaked in the campaign.xcr. | |

| Alright, so I've downloaded the Unit Editor in order to open the campaign.xcr file, unfortunately I don't really get what entry I am supposed to look for and which variable i need to change, any ideas?
It seems to only apply on certain maps, there are some on which I am getting this error and others on which I can normaly play as plaguelords with my hero being alive. Also, the only entries i am able to change when extracting them in order to edit them with txt are victory conditions, retinue points, line of sight, fog of war, max keep lvl and quests.
There are also global entries but I don't see any option for changing diplomacy requirements there either.
Oh and pardon me if I am getting on your nerves with all the asking, it is actually the first time I am doing stuff like this. ノ( º _ ºノ)

| No problem. You are looking for .MAP files. Simply add the line - Code:
-
<Side id="0" resources="2" team="0"/> where it is absent.

| Alrighty then, I am done with everything and from what I can tell after a bit of testing is that it is finally working. ╚(^⌂^)╝
I'll upload the whole thing then when I am able to post links in here, which will be around saturday, also I've included the entries which I edited since there where numerous maps where the player and the ai parts where missing, just in case there is something on the code entries which you would like to improve before releasing it as an official dlc or including it in one of the patches. | Great news,
I eagerly await the result. Most likely we will publish it on moddb ASAP, instead of waiting 6 more months for another patch.

| Well, as I suspected it doesn't work a 100% perfect. :/ I just stumbled upon another little error or bug when I kinda attacked my own faction, what happened was that I couldnt play as them anymore since they switched from allied to friendly, the result was that the bar where you can normally choose as what faction you want to play as in the mission was completely black and when I proceeded I've ended up with this. Now I dont know if this is on purpose or not since you mentioned that you can still play with no alliance while you can keep your own faction in the base game if you are loosing them as your allies. Or if I missed something in the campaign.xcr file which has nothing to do with the map entries since they look pretty much the same now from the vanilla campaign. I guess that's the last error on this, or at least I hope so. | |

| Nothing you can do about that. If you run out of allies, your hero goes to battle by himself/herself. | |

| Oh ok, thats sad but at least now I know that this isn't because I've messed something up.
http://speedy.sh/HhCfA/WBC3-conquest-campaign-modified-for-TPC.zip
Anyways, here are the files, and as I've mentioned, I've also included the entries of the campaign.xcr which I had to edit seperately just in case you want to change something on them before officially releasing it since all I did was copy and pasting because I am not familliar with the coding of this game.

| We still have it, fully functioning (I think), and we will probably release it as a DLC. | |
