The Skunk That Stunk

The Skunk That Stunk

By Stacy Lee Doyle

The Skunk that Stunk is a heartwarming story about a little skunk named Hank, who doesn’t understand why everyone runs away from him. With the help of his mother, Hank learns that each of us are different but, you should always love yourself. After all, you never know what tomorrow will bring.

We Give It…

Rating: 5 out of 5.

This story almost had me in tears…  Stacy does a great job at bringing out the emotion of Hank the Skunk.  A book that shows us we should accept our differences and not put so much credit into what others think.  In a world where the media expresses so many high unattainable standards, our children need to know they are perfect just the way they are.  Lovely story written by Stacy Lee Doyle.  The illustrations were done by Zuzana Svobodova and are absolutely stunning.  I’m honored to be able to share more than one book of Stacy’s with you, so keep in following to see the next one later on.  This is definitely a book that belongs in every home.

The Author

Stacy Lee Doyle is a new author focused on creating fun and entertaining children’s books. Her goal is to not only entertain the child but to educate them somehow. Whether it be to help early readers with repetition sight words or to learn a valuable lesson on being kind to themselves and others.

Her passion for reading and writing was passed down to her at an early age from her mother. “There was never a day that I didn’t see my mother without a book in her hand.”

Stacy was an elementary/middle school secretary for twelve years. When speaking of her time at the school, Stacy stated, “I value the connections I’ve made with the teachers, the students, and their parents.” After being in the school system for twelve years, her life took her on a different path. She is now a volunteer coordinator for a local nonprofit organization.

In the wonderful world of technology, Stacy still believes that one-on-one connections are built with children when we spend time with them. “Other than a good old grandchild hug, there is nothing more rewarding than reading a book to a child and watching the expression on their face when they are engaged in the story.”
